Who We Are

“Life Church International” is an International family of churches. We are servants who have a kinship in Christ, united in purpose and relationship.

What We Believe

Life Churches are Charismatic/Pentecostal in value. Life Churches believe in the fundamental truths taught in the Bible. There is an emphasis on the Lordship and Centrality of Christ, the work of the Holy Spirit and the authority of the scriptures as the Word of God and we recognize that the ministries of the Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist and Pastor Teacher are required to bring the church to maturity so that the church can accomplish the task of the great commission.

Life Church International is a family that embraces the diversity of cultures and ethnic groups that make up our cities and nations. We believe that all men are equal, all cultures have something to contribute and we welcome this diversity and desire to always encourage and receive from each other.

We believe that it is God’s intention that all local churches should wherever possible break through all divisions found in society including the ethnic, status, age and gender divisions.

Life Church International Mission Statement

We are a family of churches committed to glorifying Christ by:

  • Building Christian community that expresses itself as a family.
  • Planting churches that are embracive of all people.
  • Establishing reproducing churches that are self governing and self supporting in every community.
  • Strengthening existing churches so that they become partners in kingdom activities.

Life Church International Structure

Each local church is self supporting and self governing as under God, submitted to one another in mutual care and respect and recognizing the role of apostolic and prophetic ministry by allow their input into their local church. We are not centrally governed but Apostolic and Prophetic ministry has the right to speak into the local church situation. Each church has the right to develop its own vision and direction under the Lordship of Christ. The local church may vary in its form of government, teaching emphasis, vision etc but we endeavour to hold to the values that give us the family distinction.

Life Church International seeks to develop a flat level leadership structure rather than a hierarchal structure. Churches are encouraged to build relationships in their regions. As these relationships develop and there is a need for greater oversight, leadership will be appointed. This leadership will be selected on the basis of their giftedness and heart for the greater family. This selection will be done by those in the region in consultation with recognised apostolic leadership already operating in the family. We believe that apostolic and prophetic leadership will develop to serve these churches and equip them to fulfil the great commission.

Those in regional leadership should meet together several times a year for fellowship, prayer, accountability and to facilitate initiatives that will release God’s blessing amongst the churches and accomplish the great commission. Other gifted leaders who can contribute to the wisdom and life of the church family may be co-opted to join in these gatherings.

A region is a flexible entity and depending on the situation can be a collection of countries, a single country, part of a country or parts of more than one country. The regions are to serve the needs of the churches and so must be flexible and able to be changed.
